Award-Winning Excellence: PSK-Health Recognized for Science and Tech Achievements in Guangdong

Recently, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province officially released the List of Winners of the 2024 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Awards. Among the recognized projects, “Technological Innovation and Clinical Application of Cardiac Rehabilitation Based on Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP)”, jointly accomplished by the 8th Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Futian, Shenzhen), the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College, Huizhou No.3 People’s Hospital, Guangzhou Shengyi Trading Service Co., Ltd., and Chongqing PSK-Health Sci-tech Development Co., Ltd., was honored with the Science and Technology Achievement Promotion Award.

It is reported that the overall winning rate of the 2024 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Awards stood at merely 15.8%, among which only 21 projects across the province were conferred the Science and Technology Achievement Promotion Award. This fully demonstrates the reform orientation of the science and technology award system, which prioritizes “controlling the number of awards while improving their quality”. The acquisition of this award not only serves as a high recognition of the project’s technological innovation and clinical application value, but also marks that the promotion and application of China’s EECP technology in the field of cardiac rehabilitation has reached a new height.
